Andrea Birrer holds a BA in International Relations (Geneva) and studies for a MA in Middle Eastern Studies and Philosophy at the University of Bern, where she also currently works as a teaching and research assistant for Prof. Dr. Anne Clément-Vollenbroich.
“My participation in the Collaborative Anthropology project in Cairo 2018/2019 has been a very valuable experience for me. It not only allowed me to critically reflect on today’s prevailing infrastructures of knowledge and the implications of (de-)colonizing methodologies, but it also introduced me to tools of collaborative learning and self-directed education. I’m excited about further exploring these tools and methodologies in search of a truly fruitful ground for critical thinking.”
